Q: Do I need to use Visual or Hidden surveillance cameras?

This is a personal choice. Visual cameras are more frequent as they not only record but act as a deterrent as well. Hidden cameras are for delicate issues where you have constant problems that cannot be properly resolved using traditional methods.

Q: Should I use Colour or B & W?

Again, this is a personal choice - although there are general guidelines such as: Colour cameras does not do well in dark light unless you use of Digital Cameras. B & W Cameras have a higher specs and offer far better picture. B & W will do well during night time with Infra-red or Halogen Lighting.

Q: Who need to review the recordings? Is it time consuming?

You can view the recordings yourself or have a tech to do it. Required time depends on the amount of activity on the recording. For example, on a standard VCR tape, if you are looking for an theft in an free space, the required time can be very short (30 to 40 minutes). On the contrary, reviewing recordings that contain an active area (an employee area or a cash register) would take much longer (100 to 200 minutes). Digital cameras normally take a shorter period of time due to excellent reviewing functions.
